China's 15th and 16th convoy fleet including the Jinggangshan, Hengshui, Yancheng and Luoyang vessels conducted a joint escort for four foreign business vessels in the Gulf of Aden on Saturday.
This is the first time the two fleets have jointly performed the task since they met, during which shipboard helicopter was been dispatched to patrol.
Up to now, China’s warships have successfully finished 667 missions and escorted 5,463 business vessels.
