BEIJING, Nov. 15 -- China's top legislature on Friday held a meeting to learn the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
Presided over by Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, the meeting of the leading Party group of the NPC Standing Committee noted it is an important political mission of the NPC Standing Committee to learn and implement the spirit of the CPC session.
At the end of the four-day session, the CPC Central Committee on Tuesday approved a decision on "major issues concerning comprehensively deepening reforms", outlining some major reforms for the country in the years to come.
The NPC should adhere to the right political direction, build broad consensus and strive to implement various reform tasks, according to the NPC meeting.
Endeavors should be made to improve the system of people's congress and promote the building of China under the rule of law, and the authority of the constitution and laws should be maintained.
