1st Yangliuqing International Folk Photography Exhibition is launched in Beijing. (People's Daily Online/Du Mingming)

China Photographers Association (CPA) belongs to the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Regarded as the most influential and authoritative nationwide photographic organization in China, CPA is a professional organization with photographers from different ethnic groups across the country.

Located in Xiqing Distict, Tianjin, Yangliuqing is an ancient town with rich historical heritage and profound folk culture. Numerous forms of folk culture and places of historic interest include the New Year woodblock paintings, Huo Yuanjia martial arts, street parade, paper-cutting, kites, and Shi Family Courtyard are well preserved in the town. On May 20, 2006, Yangliuqing was approved by the State Council to be listed as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage.
