Russians attend celebration to mark Orthodox Christmas (2)

Church services took place across Russia from Sunday to Monday to mark the Orthodox Christmas, with thousands of people attending ceremonies to celebrate the holiday. In accordance with the Julian calendar which was introduced by Julius Caesar in 45 B.C., the Orthodox Christmas takes place on Jan. 7, 13 days after the Western Christmas. (Xinhua/Jiang Kehong)
