10. China's Site of Xanadu inscribed on UNESCO'S World Heritage List
The Site of Xanadu was officially added to the UNESCO"S World Heritage List on Jun. 29. So far, there have been 42 titles, including 30 cultural ones, in China included on the list. The World Heritage Committee pointed out that "the Site of Xanadu is the site of a grassland capital characteristic of cultural fusion, witnessing clashes and mutual assimilation between the nomadic and agrarian civilizations in northern Asia".
