"The Last Tycoon" (CNTV)

Ang Lee's rival on the silver screen is Chinese people's favorite, Feng Xiaogang, who is bringing "Remembering 1942", his biggest investment ever, with an all-star cast including Zhang Guoli, Xu Fan, Adrien Brody and Tim Robbins.

In the meantime, director Lu Chuan's long-awaited epic "The Last Supper" has finally revealed its release date. Adapted from a piece of history in the Han Dynasty, Lu Chuan is confident of interpreting the story from his own perspective, rather than previous historical dramas.

And cinemagoers have many other choices. They include Jackie Chan's latest action movie "Chinese Zodiac", comedy sequel "Lost in Thailand", dubbed the Chinese version of "Hangover", and "The Last Tycoon", a gangster story set in 1940's Shanghai, starring Chow Yun-Fat.
