Yang Liping: rebirth like a phoenix (3)

On Oct.7, 1990, dressed as a peacock princess, Yang Liping perfectly performed Spirit of Peacock in the grand closing ceremony of the Eleventh Asian Games, which was the first time she demonstrated the charm of Yunnan folk dances on the international stage. Afterwards she held a series of dancing shows in the Philippines, Singapore, Russia, and Canada.
