CPC delegation visits Georgia
TBILISI, April 17 (Xinhua) -- A delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) visited Georgia from Sunday to Wednesday, at the invitation of the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia Party.
The delegation, led by Chen Zhou, deputy head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and had meetings and talks with Chairman of the Georgian Dream Party Irakli Garibashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili, First Deputy Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili, respectively.
The delegation introduced the latest achievements in China's economic and social development, and the two sides exchanged views on party-to-party relations and cooperation in various fields.
The Georgian side said it was willing to deepen exchanges with the CPC and further develop the strategic partnership between the two countries.
