China calls for peace after Iran's strike against Israel
China expressed deep concern on Sunday over Iran's military strike on Israeli territory, calling on relevant parties to exercise calm and restraint to prevent further escalations.
It is reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran launched a military strike against Israeli territory on Sunday using ballistic missiles and drones.
The ongoing situation is the latest increase in hostilities of the ongoing Gaza conflict, the foreign ministry said in an online statement.
There should be no more delays in implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2728 and the conflict must end now, a spokesperson for the ministry said in the statement.
The spokesperson called on the international community, especially countries with influence, to play a constructive role in the peace and stability of the region.
