Tourist-dedicated New Orient Express gears up to offer luxury train travel around NW China's Xinjiang
The highly anticipated New Orient Express, a tourist-dedicated train that offers high-quality train travel around northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is about to make its first trip of this year, according to China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway).

Running along a route spanning the southern and northern areas of Xinjiang, the dedicated train allows passengers to savor colorful sightseeing and cultural experiences in the region.

Tourists will be able to take in breathtaking vistas like the famous Sayram Lake, the Narat grassland, and Tianchi Lake, and experience local traditional folk customs in the ancient city of Kashgar scenic area in Kashgar prefecture.
This one-of-a-kind train was launched by China Railway Urumqi Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It boasts 20 well-equipped carriages, including eight gold diamond class cars and 10 blue diamond class cars, as well as a dining car and a bar lounge.

The 18 gold diamond and blue diamond class carriages are all soft sleeping cars fitted with spacious 10 square meter compartments for two to four passengers, featuring high-end furnishing, private bathrooms with separate shower and toilet, 24/7 hot water, an intelligent temperature control system, safes, as well as power outlets with USB ports.
Passengers can also enjoy butler services with complimentary mineral water and hot beverages delivered to each cabin. The dining car offers a gourmet experience with delicacies incorporating local specialties created by master chefs.
The bar lounge car provides a relaxing space with a piano and karaoke facilities to while away the hours in style.
