Chinese vice premier meets foreign guests in Beijing

BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng on Thursday met with Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Gerd Muller and President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council Salvatore Sciacchitano, who both attended the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
He, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Muller exchanged views on topics such as deepening cooperation between China and UNIDO, jointly promoting connectivity cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, and implementing the Global Development Initiative.
In He's meeting with Sciacchitano, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between China and ICAO, accelerating the recovery of international air transport, and reducing aviation emissions.
The vice premier also met with Stephen Schwarzman, chairman of the Blackstone Group. The two sides exchanged views on the current international economic situation, China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation and other topics.
