Nearly 30,000 Chinese tourists visit Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 30,000 Chinese tourists arrived in Sri Lanka during the first seven months of 2023, according to the data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

The SLTDA said only around 2,000 Chinese tourists arrived during the corresponding period of 2022.

It said 767,913 tourists arrived in the country between January and July of 2023.
