China-Vietnam border port records over 260,000 passengers in Q1
NANNING, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The China-Vietnam border port in Dongxing City in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has handled more than 266,000 inbound and outbound passengers in the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, up 7.2 times year on year.
According to the local border checkpoint, the port has recorded over 51,000 inbound and outbound trucks in Q1, marking an increase of 1.88 times year on year.
The city is located on the China-Vietnam border and just across from the Vietnamese city of Mong Cai. Due to the unique location of the city, tourists are drawn from home and abroad.
Vietnam has been included on the list of countries where Chinese group tours can be conducted under the second phase of China's pilot program on resuming outbound group tours, beginning from March 15.
