BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Tuesday talked over phone with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Li said that under the strategic guidance of the two countries' heads of state, the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era has maintained a high level of development.

China-Russia relations adhere to the principles of non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-targeting of any third party, mutual respect, mutual trust and mutual benefit, which not only promote their own development and rejuvenation, but also uphold international fairness and justice, he said.

Li stressed that during Chinese President Xi Jinping's recent successful visit to Russia, he and Russian President Vladimir Putin jointly drew up a new blueprint for the development of bilateral relations, charting a new direction for bilateral cooperation.

China is willing to work closely with Russia, he said, adding that the government departments of the two countries should implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and push forward the pragmatic cooperation between China and Russia to achieve new development.

For his part, Mishustin said Russia-China relations are based on international law and the principle of pluralism, which is an important factor to ensure global peace and stability, adding that at present, bilateral relations are at the highest level in history, and President Xi's state visit to Russia was a complete success, opening a new chapter in Russia-China relations.

Russia cherishes its comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination with China and is willing to strengthen good-neighborly friendship with China, deepen practical cooperation in various fields and push for common development of the two countries, he said.
