China, Singapore sign projects to expand agricultural cooperation
CHONGQING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The China-Singapore (Chongqing) Trade and Agricultural International Cooperation Seminar was held online and offline on Wednesday, with 12 enterprises and institutions from both countries signing agreements for seven projects.
The seven projects include cassava flour trade, blood orange deep processing, joint construction of smart towns, ecological healthcare, and agricultural products export supply chain.
Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality has launched a slew of events to promote exchanges between China and Singapore since Oct. 29. The events, held under the framework of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, will run through Nov. 21.
Launched in 2015, the demonstration project in Chongqing is the third intergovernmental cooperation project between China and Singapore, following the Suzhou Industrial Park in east China's Jiangsu Province, and the Tianjin Eco-city in north China's Tianjin Municipality.
