Rare North China leopard captured on film in forest in N China's Shanxi
Activities of the North China leopard, a national first-class protected animal in China, were recently recorded by an infrared camera installed at a state-owned forest farm in Wutai Mountain, Xinzhou city, north China's Shanxi Province, according to the management bureau of the forest farm.

The videos of the North China leopard are the first footage of the animal captured in the locality this year.
On film, the North China leopard was large and graceful. It had a tan coat covered with black and brown spots. In one of the video clips, the wild animal lay prone on the grass, licking its paws while looking toward the camera.
