How China improved its air quality

Since China launched its war against smog in 2013, the level of fine particulate pollutants or PM2.5, a measurement commonly used to describe air quality, has been on the decline in most major cities across China. According to the Air Quality Life Index (AQLI), a research initiative produced by the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC), Chinese people can expect to live two years longer if improvements in pollution reduction are sustained.
