BEIJING, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- The year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), President Xi Jinping said Thursday when delivering a New Year speech in Beijing.

Xi described the Party as a gigantic vessel that leads China forward steadily with people's expectations and the hope of the nation.
