BEIJING, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- Leonidas Kavakos, a Greek violinist widely known for his technique and captivating artistry, will perform at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) on Jan. 12, 2020.
The artist will bring the enjoyment of music to audience in Beijing about two weeks ahead of the Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Jan. 25, 2020.
The performance will include Beethoven's "Violin Sonata No.1 in D Major," Ravel's "Violin Sonata" and George Enescu's "Sonata No.3 in A Major for Violin and Piano, Op. 25."
Kavakos is the recipient of several global music awards, including the Sibelius Competition in 1985, the Paganini and Naumburg Competitions in 1988.
