KABUL, Nov. 14 -- The number of those lost their lives in a deadly car bomb in Afghanistan's capital Kabul on Wednesday has soared to 12 including three school children, deputy Interior Ministry Spokesperson Marwa Amini said.

"The terrorist attack claimed the lives of 12 Afghans including three children in the Police District 15 on Wednesday morning," she told Xinhua on Thursday.

She also confirmed that 20 more people including four foreign nationals serving for a foreign security company had been wounded in the blast.

Earlier on Wednesday, the spokesman for Interior Ministry Nasrat Rahimi confirmed that the car bomb in Kabul on Wednesday martyred seven Afghan civilians and injured 10 others including four foreign citizens.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bloody attack and the government has yet to point finger at any particular outfit fighting the security forces in the insurgency-battered country.
