BEIJING, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- About 60 percent of the respondents from developing countries considered China a contributor to global development, according to the latest survey report published Friday.

A total of 11,000 people from 22 countries including China, 500 respondents each, attended the survey conducted by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies and Kantar, a leading international data and consulting company, from May to July in 2018. They were aged between 18 and 65, according to the report.

The most widely received of the seven descriptions of China listed by the survey remained "a major Oriental country with a rich history and full of charm," with 59 percent of the overseas respondents agreeing, according to the survey report.

Among the respondents from developed countries, 56 percent of them agreed with the image of "a major Oriental country with a rich history and full of charm," most of all.
