NINGBO, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The Fourth China-Central & Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Dialogue on Customs, Inspection and Quarantine Cooperation was held Friday in Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province.

Under the theme of building a mutually beneficial partnership between customs and enterprises, the dialogue aimed to deepen the cooperation in customs between China and the CEE countries along the Belt and Road.

More than 150 participants from customs, inspection and quarantine institutions, and companies in China and 12 CEE countries called for strengthening customs cooperation, improving the communication and coordination mechanism of inspection and quarantine, and expanding the trade in agricultural products.

"The CEE countries pay high attention to the Chinese market. We hope that the efficiency of organic food from CEE countries entering the Chinese market can be improved to further promote food trade between the two sides," said Darius Remeika, head of the State Food and Veterinary Service of the Republic of Lithuania.

According to China's Ministry of Commerce, the total trade volume between China and the CEE countries reached 28.55 billion U.S. dollars in the first four months this year, up 7.9 percent year on year.
