Temple fair issues special tickets to spread missing children information

(People's Daily Online)    16:01, February 23, 2018

Name, photo, physical features and phone number of families. Such details of 300 missing children appeared on the temple fair tickets in central China’s Kaifeng, Henan province, People’s Daily Online reported Wednesday.

The information printed on tickets was provided by some online platform for finding missing children or charity organizations. Within four days, over ten thousand tickets of this kind have been sent out and more stickers will be reprinted later.

The site also displayed a 110-square meter board at a must-stop open space, showing lost children’s features and contacts of their families. Visitors are suggested to take photos and spread the information through social network for the sake of more clues, said a staff from the resort.

This is the first try by the resort to find missing people this way. The resort is now collecting information of lost old people and plans to issue tickets with their information in April during the tomb sweep festival, another festival that attracts a large number of visitors, according to the resort.

The half-a-month temple fair starting from the lunar New Year day to celebrate the Spring Festival is predicted to attract over one million visitors, said a staff from the resort.

Parents expressed gratitude after hearing this heartwarming movement, and some regained confidence for tracing their relatives.
