After the east-west axis broke ground, another major road reconstruction project will be implemented in downtown Xiangyang.

Xiangyang's inner ring speedup project plan was approved by the municipal government on December 19, Xiangyang will speed up the eastern and northern inner ring lines in the near term to build a 30-minute traffic circle in downtown Xiangyang.

With an estimated total investment of some RMB 4.6 billion and a construction period of three years, the project will break ground in early 2018 and is expected to be completed in 2020.
