Five people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in northeast China’s Heilongjiang province Friday morning, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at around 5:00 a.m. when a black car bumped seven sanitation workers cleaning snow on Kang’an Bridge, the Second Ring road in Harbin.
The bump caused four to die immediately; another died after rescue and two are under treatment. The driver surnamed Li said to police that the steering wheel suddenly acted up when the accident occurred. The car, severely damaged, has the name “Shouqi Limousine & Chauffeur” on it.
Blood-alcohol test showed Li was drunk driving. He was detained by the police.
