A message that reads “Kill Chinese” with a Nazi symbol has been found in the University of Sydney on the first day of the semester. This came after some anti-Chinese posters appeared in the University of Melbourne and Monash University about a week ago.
The message was written on the wall in a men’s restroom inside a playroom for international students. It also appeared in a restroom inside the business school, where Chinese students are often present.
The University of Sydney Union (USU) released a statement on Facebook on July 31, 2017, stating that “The USU does not tolerate racism in any of its forms and we are working swiftly with campus security to ensure any and all remnants are removed.”
