On June 28, in Xiangfan District of the city of Xiangyang, Dongjin Ancient Street took on an entirely new look. Each and every family hanged up lanterns printed with 24 Chinese characters of socialist core values and slogans of “establishing urban civilization.”

Dongjin was used as an important ferry during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. The existing stone-paved roads, quadrangle dwellings, square wells and other historical sites on Dongjin Ancient Street bear witness to the long history and profound culture of Dongjin Ancient Town.
