A special last class at Changchun Experimental School

A special last class was given to commemorate the final day of high school for students at Changchun Experimental School. This time of year marks an important milestone at all high schools across China, as the national college entrance examination is set to take place on June 7 and 8.

“Class is over,” said a tearful Chu Haifeng, head teacher of a class at Changchun Experimental School on the morning of June 4. However, no students left the classroom after Chu's announcement, choosing instead to remain, exchanging hugs and best wishes for the coming college entrance examination.

The countdown on the wall says “three days left.” The students commemorated the occasion by gathering to share their accomplishments and sorrows from the past three years. They also took the opportunity to bid farewell to their high school life, express their gratitude to teachers and wish their peers successful careers.

Chu was invited to write a few words on a graduation photo album for his departing students. Students then observed the tradition of signing their names on each other’s uniforms. Many students said they would wear the uniforms when sitting for the exam three days later, reveling in the support and blessings of their peers.
