“Withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement is a major step back for the environment.” “The departure from the Paris agreement is not good for the U.S. and the whole world.” The US PresidentDonald Trump’s recent announcement of pulling out from the climate deal has drawn collective criticism from the western countries.

After the news came out, China's attitude towards the agreement was most concerned by the international media. To put it in one sentence, it should be that “China is committed to tackling the issue, both via the Paris Agreement and by setting national targets.” This is a statement jointly released by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and German chancellor Angela Merkel in a press conference.

As early as in 2009, during the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, China pledged that on the basis of 2005, the country was to reduce its carbon emissions per million GDP by 40% to 45% by 2020. Nowadays, more and more Chinese people begin to realize that no matter how other countries change, it is the constant development direction for China to take the road of emission reduction to green development.

The reason for this is simple: We, as those who have experienced the pain of various pollution, have long understood that the protection of the environment is to protect ourselves. "We have no plan, because we don't have planet B."
