Sugon begins batch production of cloud server

China’s server provider Sugon announced that it has begun batch production of a cloud server that can handle the simultaneous access of 100 million users.

The server is specially designed for cloud computing, which resolves the incompatibility between traditional servers and cloud applications. With a brand new structure, it is suitable for large-scale cloud applications.

Compared with traditional architecture, the Sugon server features lower power consumption and a lower cost of ownership; compared with the best traditional servers, it occupies 50 percent less space and boasts system complexity reduced by 60 percent.

The cloud server has achieved several breakthroughs. It is a new form of architecture born for cloud computing; the design guarantees the security of the system, and it can facilitate the concurrent access of 100 million users

According to Nie Hua, vice president of Sugon, the cloud server will help to establish standards for cloud server architecture utilizing domestic technology. It will also build a solid foundation for safe cloud computing in China
