Chinese authorities have decided to shut down the country's embassy in Libya amid the worsening conflict in the country.

The announcement, made via the foreign ministry's official Weibo account, is also warning against Chinese national visiting Libya.

In announcing the temporary closure of the Chinese embassy, the Foreign Ministry says it will still maintain some officials in the country in case of emergencies.

The Chinese embassy in Libya will be shut down until at least November.
