After 28 months of construction, the Binhe Yellow River Bridge in Yinchun, the capital city of northern China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, has opened to traffic on April 28.

It is a self-anchored suspension bridge that features three towers, which makes it the longest-spanning bridge of its kind in the world. It spans a total distance of 218 meters.

The Binhe Yellow River Bridge, with its total length of 6,587 meters, has a designed speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It connects Yinchuan city proper with the Binhe New Area.
