Eleven Chinese companies ranked among the world's 100 most reputable companies in 2016. The annual list was recently released by the Reputation Institute, an international reputation management consulting firm based in New York and Copenhagen. 

The 11 companies are: Huawei Technologies, China Merchants Bank, Alibaba, Tsingtao Brewery, Air China, Lenovo Group, Hutchison Whampoa, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, Tasly Group and Bank of China.

For Chinese consumers, the three companies judged to be most reputable were Intel Corporation (headquartered in California), Rolex (headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland) and Rolls-Royce (based in London).

The companies are evaluated on seven categories, including products and services, innovation, workplace, management, citizenship, governance and execution.
