Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit to be held in Africa for the first time

According to Lu Kang, spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China's President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Zimbabwe from Dec. 1 to 2 at the invitation of his Zimbabwean counterpart Robert Mugabe and also pay a state visit to South Africa from Dec. 2 to 5 at the invitation of South African President Jacob Zuma, and chair the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Johannesburg.
The 1st summit of FOCAC held in Beijing in 2006 established a new Sino-African strategic partnership, and promoted practical cooperation in all fields between China and African countries.
The Johannesburg Summit will be the first summit of FOCAC held in Africa.
Formal operation of AIIB

China's President Xi Jinping said on Nov. 18, 2015 that the AIIB is "expected to be officially up and running by the end of this year" during his keynote speech at the APEC CEO Summit in Manila. Xi said that the AIIB is a vital supporting platform for regional connectivity.
According to Xi, China is "now working actively with more than 50 countries" to prepare the launching of the AIIB, and it "will provide financing support for a number of important projects".
The 2nd World Internet Conference to be held in Wuzhen

The 2015 World Internet Conference (Wuzhen Summit), which is jointly organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, will be held on Dec. 16 to 18 in Wuzhen, east China's Zhejiang Province.
It is expected that 1,200 leading figures from governments, international organizations, enterprises, science & technology communities, and civil societies all around the world will participate in the Conference to discuss global Internet governance, cyber-security, the Internet industry as the engine of economic growth and social development, technological innovation and philosophy of the Internet.

The Central Economic Working Conference to make a blueprint for China's 2016 economy

It is a regular practice that the 2015 Central Economic Working Conference will be held in December. In 2014 the central government not only held the working conference but also two sessions of the Central Leading Group for Comprehensively Deepening Reforms.
The annual central economic working conference held by the CPC central committee is the most authoritative reference to evaluate China's current economic condition and to set macroeconomic policies for the next year.
Peak period of the "Spring Festival Rush"

China Railway has recently published the pre-sales timetable for train tickets for the 2016 "Spring Festival Rush". The 2016 "Spring Festival Rush" lasts 40 days, from Jan. 24, 2016 to March 3, 2016.
According to railway authorities, the peak period of ticket booking occurs from Dec. 4 to 10, because during this period people can book ticket valid for a few days before the Spring Festival.

New "three in one" business license to be promoted nationwide

The new license integrates the business license, the certificate of organization code and the certificate of tax registration.
The executive meeting of the State Council discussed simplifying and optimizing public service procedures on Nov 18.
At a policy briefing of the State Council on Nov 20, 2015, Wu Zhilun, deputy director of the office of the State Council’s unit of transforming the government’s functions, said that governments should cut out all pointless requirements and fussy procedures for certificates by the end of the year.

China's National Memorial Day for the Nanjing Massacre Victims will be held in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu Province on Dec. 13, 2015. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. China has held a series of activities to commemorate the anniversary. December 13 is assigned as a National Memorial Day by standing committee of the National People's Congress on Feb. 27, 2014.
