LONDON, Nov. 21 -- Four British people were killed in a helicopter crash in New Zealand, according to BBC report Saturday.
The aircraft crashed in a crevasse on the Fox Glacier, on the country's South Island, where is popular with tourists, on Saturday morning at about 11:00.
The aircraft was carrying a pilot and six passengers. There was no sign of survivors when rescue teams in helicopters reached the crash site.
The cause of the crash and the identification of the victims are being investigated.
A spokesperson for British Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: "We are urgently investigating reports that British nationals were involved in a helicopter crash in New Zealand."
