India wants China to share counter- terrorism experiences, said a report published on The Hindu in November.

The article quoted an Indian senior official as saying “China shared its experience of how it curtailed jihadi activities in Xinjiang province and the steps taken by it to bring in normalcy in the region. We also asked China to help us understand their cyber security network, which is one of the best in the world.”

A Chinese military delegation led by Fan Changlong, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission (CMC) arrived in India for visit Sunday. According to Indian Media, this is the highest level Chinese military delegation visiting India in 10 years. Following the visit, Rajnath Singh, Home Minister of India, will pay his first visit to China in ten years on Nov. 19. Border, security and anti-terrorism issues will be the focus of his trip.

Chinese and Indian senior defense officials called for cooperation in fighting terrorism after the deadly terror attacks in Paris on Friday. In his meeting with Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar, Fan said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed the "strongest" condemnation over the series of terror attacks in Paris and China opposes all forms of terrorism and is ready to work with the international community to fight it.

Fan said China attaches great importance to developing ties with India and the Chinese military is willing to cooperate with its Indian counterpart to actively implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries to build a comprehensive exchange mechanism, to expand cooperation in specific fields, and to enrich the contents and meaning of the strategic cooperative partnership between the two sides.

He also expressed his hope that the two sides could properly handle their disputes, strengthen border defense cooperation and take effective measures to safeguard peace and stability in the border areas between the two countries.

For his part, Parrikar said that both India and China are victims of terrorism and India hopes to stage common fight against international terrorism with China.

He said that since 2014, Indian and Chinese leaders have exchanged frequent visits to each other's country while the two militaries have also seen an apparently upswing of relations.

India regards developing relations with China as a priority in its diplomacy as good relationship between the two countries has great importance for realizing the vision of the Asian Century, he said.
