VLADIVOSTOK, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The second edition of "Chinese Diaspora Living in Vladivostok: Pages of History," which highlights Chinese diaspora's contributions to the city in history, has been recently released in Vladivostok.

With 312 pages and more than 200 old photos, the book details the lives of Vladivostok's Chinese community from the 1870s to 1983.

"Chinese people's great contributions to Vladivostok's development in history should be recognized," Dmitry Ancha, who co-authored the book with Nelly Miz, has told Xinhua in an exclusive interview recently.

This was also why he spent 10 years collecting a great amount of historical materials to complete the book.

The local historian and researcher also dedicated a whole chapter to the Chinese Lenin School, which trained many Chinese revolutionary leaders between 1933 and 1938 in Vladivostok.

"Researching the School is a must when studying the city's history in the last century," said Ancha. "The School had cultivated talents and management personnel for the cause of revolution globally."

"Previously, there were only few articles about the School. So many documents were classified," Ancha said.

When writing the book, Ancha said, he was impressed by Chinese embassy's full cooperation and respect for his work. "Just like the current China-Russiarelations, with respect for each other," he added.
