Xue Mengjie, born in 1984 in Xingtai, Hebei Province, got a severe fever when she was less than a month old. The high body heat made her legs distorted. Later Xue was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Despite being physically handicapped, Xue did well at school. After graduation from university, she found it difficult to have a full-time job. She made a living by selling prepaid cards for cellphones and opened an online shop. But she never gave up her dream of creating a better life on her own.

In 2010, Xue Mengjie came up with an idea of tutoring school children. Her first client was a pupil in grade four. After tutorial, the child made obvious progress in math, with exam score increasing from 40 to 110 (the highest possible score is 120).

One year later, Xue Mengjie set up her own tutoring school and recruited several teachers. In a few years, the school expanded to have two divisions. And now more than 500 students take tutoring classes in her school.
