NANNING, July 2 -- An economic fugitive was returned to China from Cambodia on Thursday as the latest campaign to capture fugitives overseas continues.
The suspect, identified as Su, was once a bank employee in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He fled to Cambodia via Vietnam in May.
The man was suspected of fund-raising fraud and was captured on June 13 in Phnom Penh by a team sent from China, according to police.
He was added to the more than 200 fugitives who have been handed back to China from more than 30 countries and regions since operation Fox Hunt 2015 started in April.
Fox Hunt 2015, targeting economic suspects, corrupt Party members and disgraced government officials, is part of a larger campaign codenamed "Sky Net" that combines government, Party, law enforcement agencies, the central bank and diplomatic services.
