BEIJING, May 8 -- Chinese Communist Party(CPC) official Liu Yunshan met with a delegation of the Malaysian Chinese Association headed by its president Liow Tiong Lai in Beijing on Friday.
Liu, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said China-Malaysia relations are at the best times in history and growing toward all-round, strategic development.
Liu said China is ready to work with Malaysia to take advantage of building the "Road and Belt" economic corridor and their historical and people-to-people links to step up practical cooperation for mutual benefits.
Liu expressed the readiness to step up exchanges with the Malaysian Chinese Association in order to add new impetus to the growth of China-Malaysia relations.
Liow said the Malaysian Chinese Association admires the CPC's capacity of governance and its experience in strengthening links with grass-root people. He expressed the readiness to deepen cooperation with CPC in the areas of training, think tanks and education.
Liu briefed the Malaysian guests on the development of the CPC.
Liow, also transport minister, expressed the readiness to advance the development of the "Road and Belt" economic corridor.
