At the invitation of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, to be held in Moscow. Vinogradov, director for political prediction and research center at the Far East Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences,  told People's Daily that Xi's appearance on this important occasion during his upcoming visit to Russia demonstrates that China supports Russia and promotes justice in the international arena.　

According to Valihan Tuleshov, a Kazakhstani expert on international issues, Xi's move shows that China attaches great importance to the commemoration of the victory of the WWII and hopes to safeguard global peace and stability with Russia and other countries.　

According to a report from The Tokyo Shimbun, Xi will stand by Putin during the 2015 Moscow Victory Day Parade, proof of the solid friendship between China and Russia.

China's contribution to the victory of WWII bears great significance

Marat Sisenovich Abulkhatinhe, chief editor of the Russian News Agency "TASS" , told People's Daily that Xi's upcoming visit to Russia testifies to the friendship between the two peoples forged in the WWII, and to the bilateral ties. Moreover, this visit may also help the world come to realize the great contributions made by China during WWII, and to reflect on the lessons of war and pursue peace.

Valihan Tuleshov holds that as a main battlefield in WWII, China made huge sacrifices during the struggle against the occupying Japanese army and an enormous contribution to the final victory of the World War against Fascism.
