"Since 2001, Shenzhen has welcomed over 50,000 overseas graduates," said Peng Chao, a manager of a company that gives help and advice to people who want to start up a business, at the 13th Conference of International Exchange of Professionals. He told journalists that in the past few years, more and more overseas returnees are choosing to start up their own business.

In Shenzhen, 80 percent of the returnees are from other provinces, which differs a lot from the situation in Beijing and Shanghai. Most of these returnees choose Shenzhen based on population, opportunities, market, and environmentL factors. Peng Chao also noted that the large population is also an important factor for oversea students who come back to China, as well as good career policies and opportunity advantages.

"Most of the returnees have their specialties and professional skills, but they lack experience and capital to start up a new business. Companies like us and some national domestic policies are at their service when they encounter difficulties like that," said Peng Chao, "we hope to reduce the pressure, and help them to succeed."

At the conference, entrepreneurs wrote down their dreams of starting up a business in the time capsules and left their address. Two years later, these capsules will be sent back to them to see if they have realized their dreams.
