BEIJING, March 24-- Premier Li Keqiang has met with foreign delegates attending the China Development Forum 2015 in Beijing and held discussions with them.
Premier Li took questions from CEOs, experts and scholars from world renowned universities and research institutes. He pledged to provide a stable, tranparent and fair investiment climate for foreign investors and invited foreign investment into the country.
Li Keqiang also met International Monetary Fund head Christine Lagarde. Premier Li said China will promote structural adjustment and financial reform to energise the capital market and the social funds. He pledged to make it more convenient for overseas investment and foreign investments into China. Lagarde spoke highly of China's financial reforms and also expressed willingness to coordinate and cooperate with China.
Li Keqiang also sat down with the president of the Asian Development Bank, Takehiko Nakao on Monday. He vowed to promote the partnership between China and the ADB. Li still mentioned the planned Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank or AIIB, saying the bank will be complementary to the other established multilateral institutions. Nakao said the AIIB answered the need of regional development and that the ADB is willing to cooperate with it.
