Lou Qinjian, Shaanxi governor visitws the Xi'an Hi-tech Zone in the first week after the Spring Festival. It has been the fourth consecutive year that he made it. Lou held a meeting with the representatives of the foreign companies and provided solutions to their problems on the spot.
Lou at first came to the production site of Samsung car battery project and asked the people in charge if they have any problems. Knowing that the project has started in last August and would be put into operation before the end of the year, he said the government has the same goals in development with the company and encouraged the enterprise to feel free to raise the difficulties to the authority. At the production site of packaging and testing of project of Samsung memory chip plant, Lou said that he cared about the progress of this project and he paid gratitude to those who have contributed to the development of Shaanxi.
Lou held a meeting with some foreign companies to ask for their problems, views and proposals on the government's work. Representatives from 13 foreign enterprises including Samsung Corporation, Samsung SDI, Air Products and Chemicals, Johnson & Johnson, Micron, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell, Emerson, Applied Materials, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Shell, BlueScope Butler, spoke during the meeting.
During the discussion, Lou asked the situation and replied to questions of the enterprises at the same time. Around the goal of building the new starting point of the Silk Road, a base model of reform and opening up and demonstration base of new urbanization in the province, he required government departments to construct three-dimensional transport hub, improve logistics conditions, enhance the level of infrastructure and public services and create the good environment for the development of the enterprises in Shaanxi, in order to make Shaanxi the first destination for domestic and international industrial transfer in china. He also hoped that the enterprises play a leading role in promoting Shaanxi to the world to drive more enterprises to invest in Shaanxi.
