YAOUNDE, Jan. 13-- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Tuesday that China is seeking a win-win cooperation with Cameroon on the basis of the African country's development need.
Wang gave the remarks during a meeting with Cameroonian President Paul Biya at the presidential palace in Cameroon's capital Yaounde.
Biya said China has become a model for the world to learn from. He said Cameroon and China have maintained an active, close and friendly relationship and that the two sides have conducted fruitful and effective cooperation in economic, social and technological fields.
The president said Cameroon attaches great importance to further strengthening the friendly cooperation between the two countries.
Wang said that China highly values the traditional friendship between China and Cameroon.
He said China will continue to enhance political mutual trust, adhere to the win-win cooperation principle, keep pace with the times and explore the potential of cooperation based on the development need of Cameroon and the ability of China.
China is willing to push forward the mutually-beneficial cooperation with Cameroon in all the areas and realize common development and prosperity for both countries, Wang added.
On the same day, Wang also met Cameroonian Prime Minister Philemon Yang and his Cameroonian counterpart Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo.
