BEIJING, Set. 16 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed ambassadors to India and Chile, according to a statement from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) on Tuesday.
Le Yucheng was appointed ambassador to India, replacing Wei Wei.
Li Baorong was appointed ambassador to Chile, replacing Yang Wanming.
Xi made the appointments in line with decision made by the Standing Committee of the NPC, the nation's top legislature.
