PHNOM PENH, Sept. 8 -- Xin Changxing, vice minister of the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, met here Monday with Ith Samheng, Cambodian minister of labor and vocational training, to discuss ways to further enhance relations and cooperation in labor sector between the two countries.
In the meeting, Ith Samheng extended gratitude to the Chinese government, particularly to the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, for providing Cambodia with assistance in creating centers for job services and labor market information early this year.
"Through His Excellency Xin Changxing, Minister Ith Samheng also proposed the Chinese government to assist Cambodia in setting up additional 18 job centers in order to provide job services to all 25 cities and provinces in Cambodia," Heng Sour, spokesman for the Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, said after the meeting.
For his part, Xin said his visit to Cambodia was to further strengthen cooperation in labor sector between the two countries, adding that China would continue aiding Cambodia to develop human resources and improve livelihoods of the people of Cambodia.
Xin arrived in Cambodia on Sunday for a 3-day visit.
