JINAN, Aug. 21 -- Police have offered rewards to anyone providing information that leads to the arrest of the bus arsonist whose actions left one passenger dead and 19 others injured in east China's Shandong Province this week.
A reward of 100,000 yuan (16,255 U.S. dollars) will be given for the information leading directly to the arrest, the public security bureau of Shandong's Longkou City said on Thursday.
The suspect police are hunting is a 50-something man who was wearing a light-colored shirt and a cap at the time of the incident. Police estimate that he might have sustained burns to his face and chest.
One woman was killed and 19 others were injured after a bus caught fire during rush hour in Longkou on Wednesday morning. The description of the suspect is based on witness reports.
