Southwest China's Yunnan Province has received more than 479 million yuan (77.65 million U.S. dollars) in cash donations as of Sunday, a week after a 6.5-Magnitude earthquake shook its Ludian County.
In the meantime, donations of food, clothing and other relief material were valued at 140 million yuan (22.7 million U.S. dollars), the provincial civil affairs bureau said in a press release Sunday.
The donations were received through the provincial government, the city government of Zhaotong, the provincial charity, the Red Cross and the provincial federation of industry and commerce, it said.
The quake on Aug. 3 has left 617 people dead and 112 missing.
A memorial service was held Sunday morning in memory of the dead.
