KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 4 -- Malaysia would continue its efforts to locate and identify the victims of the MH17 tragedy, said Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai in a statement Monday.
The next-of-kin would be informed once bodies had been identified and the necessary forensic work completed, he said, adding that arrangements for repatriating the bodies would then be discussed with the next-of-kin.
"At all times, we will be guided by the next-of-kin, and will endeavor to carry out repatriation in line with their wishes," Liow said.
The minister also said that they were making arrangements for a national day of mourning once all remains had returned to Malaysia.
